----- readme for " Domestic Disturbance"------

Track Name:Domestic Disturbance
Track Type: Extreme

Author/Nickname: Pat S

Track Length:667 meters

Description: Frantic route through rooms of a house. This track is a definite wall banger--a slower car that handles well will do better than a super fast one. The race line is so tight that fast AI have trouble in a couple spots despite efforts to slow them down.
The idea for this level is based on a PSX game of my son's called Micro Machines. In that game the cars would race across a dining room table ( around plates and cutlery ), up an ironing board, over a pool table into the pockets, into a sink, and so on.
The route is difficult to learn--so much so that I'm sure some will just say "too frustrating" and send it to the Recycle Bin. But for those of you that persevere and learn the route and how to use the walls to aid you with your turns, it can be a very intense race where one slip will cost you a position or two.

---------Known Bugs-----------------------
Sometimes the human driver gets repositioned underneath the ramps in the kitchen and in the bathroom. I have tried very hard to minimize this, but it may occur.

------- Acknowledgments --------------

This track was designed using instances provided by others. Most of the instances are included as an extra in other tracks released by Bootes ( Quake ) and Supertard/Scloink (Ye Olde Fun Shoppe). Others are original Acclaim models. The track walls and floors were made using JimK's wonderful HOUSEKIT. Six of the instances were taken out of other levels--the small lamp from JimK's Midnight Construction Site, the bed from Skitch2's Medieval Mayhem, the commode from Romeo's Holiday Camp, the wall heater from Bootes' Quake, the hot tub from Supertard's SkateKit, and the cactus from BK's Yabba Dabba Do level. Antimorph is the author of aliseat and ali3seat.
Most floor and wall textures are the creation of hilaire9--he also gets full credit for the lighting file and numerous other creative suggestions such as the hot tub faucet.
Manmountain has worked the AI ( four times!! ) to the point where they usually finish in a close grouping and also made it hard for the human driver to win. He also reduced the # of track zones to eliminate repositioning problems. And he has offered many ideas without which I never would have made it to submitting the level. Thanks to both you and hil!!!

Programs used: MAKEITGOOD editor, rvtexmap, rv-sizer, Paint Shop Pro, RVGlue, and the Texture Mesh Viewer. Thank you to all who had a hand in making these programs available.

I hope you have as much fun racing this level as I had making it!!!!!
