Track information: >>> Name: Train Adventure >>> Folder name: krntrain >>> Author: Keyran >>> Development time: December 2022 - June 2023 >>> Year of first release: 2023 >>> Reversed: Yes >>> Length: 1000m >>> Reversed length: 1100m >>> Category: Standard Track >>> Difficulty: Extreme >>> Time trial challenge: 01:06:00 normal and 01:17:00 reversed >>> Global stars: 1 >>> Practise star: 1 >>> Speedups: 0 Contact: On Discord: I am Keyran#3667. Description: You are on a very long journey and you are bored. Luckily you have some R/C cars and some friends sitting next to you, so why not having some races in the train? The time trial times have been set for Pro cars (tested with Toyeca). Useless things to know about this track: >>> With its moving landscape, this track is similar to Rigs Highway. I had the idea of Train Adventure before Paperman made his track, but at that time, Train Adventure had a low priority for me. The original idea, which is very old (maybe I had it during 2021) was just a track in a train station, without the moving landscape. Rigs Highway gave this track a higher priority, but I wanted to release my Rally PRM Set with its example tracks during Summer 2022, and during Autumn 2022 there has been a contest that I attended. That's why I have started this project during December 2022 (I have started modeling the train during November 2022, but I haven't been very active during that month because I also got my first job). >>> Rigs Highway was my favorite track released during 2022, but I was disappointed by the landscape (small and repetitive, we always see the same building and the same bridge). I wanted a huge and more diversified landscape for train Adventure. In Train Adventure, the whole landscape animation lasts more than 4 minutes and the length of the landscape is 12.6km. >>> The train cruise speed is 216kph. You will notice how fast it moves in the reverse version, the landscape will always overtake you when you will be on the top of the train. >>> I also wanted to make a freight train, but after working on Train Adventure for 6 months, I don't have the motivation to make another train track. One of the unused textures may give you a hint about what it would have had: a car that carries animals borrowed either from The Great Silence or Fairground 1. Known issues: Collision with obstacles between the trains are not realistic. I can't do anything to fix that. In the reverse version, some AI cars might be stuck at one part of the track right after the start line and then they do an additional lap. It seems some cars are more likely to be affected by this issue (for example BajaVolt). Tools used: >>> Photofiltre for textures >>> Blender with Marv's plugin. >>> RVGL (Makeitgood) >>> WorldCut >>> Visual Studio Code for custom animations and editing the inf file. >>> https://ttsmp3.com/text-to-speech/British%20English/ for the voices (more precisely Amy and Matthew). It doesn't require to login, it just shows some adds. Thanks and credits: >>> Acclaim and Probe for the original game. >>> CapitaineSZM, MightyCucumber and rodik for testing this track and giving me feedback and suggestions of improvement. >>> Textures and models: Toilets and sofa (I gave it a different texture) are from Quake! by Gabor. The suitcase and its textures are from Airport 1 by Xarc. I have removed some useless faces. The bottom left texture on krntraing is from The Great Silence by Kiwi (it is unused).
