Track: Jupiter: Jovian Disaster Authors: Biometal/Spriggan & GO_AWAY Length: 1465 Difficulty: Extreme Environment: Space Jupiter's immense turbulence has become terrifyingly unstable. The experimental solid surface that the Jovians have originally constructed has began giving way, and it is quickly getting grinded into nothingness by the Big Red Spot, where it has since started getting pulled into. There will be nowhere left to stand very soon. Jupiter is a gas planet, and this is exactly why it should remain that way. Our Jovian friends, sadly, have met with a most horrendous fate. Their remains are still present, and they'll be swallowed along with the track. It's an awful sight to look at, but give them one last good race---for their sake. These Re-Volt cars are apparently indestructible, after all. The raceline is much shorter, now that most of the terrain has been chipped away. Still, watch out for the Jovian carcasses left behind. The Floaters have been deflated and are taking up much of what's left of the ground. The Hunters have been torn apart and lay far off to the sides, and their limbs are scattered. The Sinkers have perished entirely. The Fungry population has greatly declined, as they are now withered and lifeless, but are still rooted and will also still eat you if you touch their bellies or their tentacles---they never stop eating, even while expiring. Their guts can still be heard churning. This edition of Jupiter will not be very interesting. I decided to do this because I've been having a great deal of frustration with the HabitatB plugin while working on my next planet track since March; the camera will not stop sporadically zooming in on the car, excessively. There must be a way to stop that. Also, it takes forever to export the .npc for the world file. Sometimes it just hangs forever and then stealth crashes without telling you. It'z your faultz, Marvz. Youz killed them allz. And I still don't know where your pointz are atz. It's a good thing that the Jovians will naturally be reborn in a safer area on Jupiter, somewhere no one can find them. Important Notes: *There are no pick-ups, as they've been destroyed by Jupiter. *Io/flickering cheeseballz is now too far out of range. *Known Bugs* The Jupiter-texture part (before the lap) was flipping cars over upon driving off of it, on occasion. This part has been turned into a short, low jump to avoid the bug. *Tools Used/Credits* Blender GO_AWAY (A.K.A Moddyz, Sullendratz, Dextoiz) HabitatB Blender Plugin (for Revolt) by Marv Audacity Visual Boy Advance (Gameboy Advance Emulator) MAKEITGOOD Edit Mode & Dev Mode Carl Sagan's short documentary on Jupiter, found on YouTube.
