Files will be automatically placed on the correct folders. ============================== ======== Description ========= ============================== That's one of the 'Grand Prix' versions you can find on Re-Volt's Source Code. I was just amazed that no one was willing to convert these tracks to Re-Volt yet. The track is nothing like a masterpiece, but it's still an important part of Re-Volt's story, and that's why I decided to finish it and make it playable. -Finding and File Status The track's mesh was found in Re-Volt's Source Code with a name of 'NO1.MAX', inside 'RV_MESHES' folder. As I usually do with old geometry files, I've exported the whole mesh to .obj, then exported it into a new Max's scene. The first thing you notice when opening the .max file, is the three missing external files, which are: F:\tpage.psd E:\WINNT\Profiles\simonh\Desktop\a.bmp E:\WINNT\Profiles\simonh\Desktop\no1.bmp As you certainly have noticed, the textures were stored into Simon Harrison's profile. I think that's enouth to dedeuce he was the creator of both "NO1" and "TEST" Grand Prix levels. And also, he was using Windows NT. The whole track were splited into pieces, all placed together to form the track's layout (just like a "lego" track of Re-Volt's Track Editor). All the pieces were mapped "by face". Both meshes from the files 'NO1.MAX' and 'NO101.MAX' (located in 'RV_MESHES') are actually the same. -What I've Done? I've used the same pieces from the "TEST" Grand Prix to remake this track, as I already made textures and UVW Map for that track before starting to work on "NO1" Grand Prix. Then, I've made mounds and fences to hide the backgrounds, and finally came up with the "MAKEITGOOD stuff" at the end. ============================== ========== Credits =========== ============================== Credits of all the (visible) geometry, except by the fence and mounds, comes to Simon Harrison.
